And a call for LTEs from me, to start.
Time Magazine, last night sent out an issue in which the 2nd largest story was about how Walmart is taking its "low-price" way of life to China.
Click here to read the whole article, or for a small dose of outrage, and some observations, there's more below...
First, some stats:
How many times Walmart was alluded to as having low prices = 4
How many times "everyday low prices" comes up in search = 2
Other stories about Walmart in that issue = 0
Now, reading the whole issue, as I do most weeks (I work in the bindery that prints Time), the theme of the week was very much "The Chinese may be coming!", with some suppoting details, and some halfassed synopsis on what jobs we may be able to keep.
Where does an oversized ad for Walmart come into play? I just don't get it.
Well, I've sent my letter (letters@time.com), how about you?
And on a further note, this is just to get the story out there. Please consider this a jumping off point for some more Walmart knowledgeable Diarist (JR?) to pick up on.
