I sometimes can't catch all the best political video that's out there, especially the Sunday circuit, either through sloth or the simple fact that my old TIVO only has one tuner.
It would be great if there were a website, perhaps a Kos brand website, which was a tracker of bittorrents of every week's political video footage.
Using Bittorrent means that the bandwidth of the tracker would be minimal, so there would be no huge bandwidth charges to cover. And a central location for footage would make it much easier to make video available in diaries and member's blogs. Torrents have been thrown up haphazardly in the past to quickly distribute important footage. Time to make it official?
It's time for DailyKos to fully enter the world of P2P video and take online commentary, activism, and accountability for the powerful to a new level. If you agree and/or wish to contribute to such an effort, recommend this diary. If you have concerns or advice about the legal aspects of creating a tracker for the purposes of fair-use criticism and satire, please comment.
