So I saw this
http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/06/29/hayes.911/
Outraged at the ridiculous nature of these comments, I decided to call Rep. Hayes office to verify if, indeed, these comments were as ridiculous as I percieved.....
I reached Stephen at the Washington office. After a slow and detailed briefing on the cnn article I asked him if these quotes were accurate?
I sensed a grimacing recoil at the other end of the line like a waiting rattlesnake who just realized the venom was gone. Then, "where are you calling from again?" "this is Jzilla from Oregon ( no I didn't say Jzilla ). "So, are these quotes accurate?". He continued on with some " terrorism in general" or "people like that" rhetoric and seemed very displeased. " Would the other members of the subcommitte be willing to come forward and match the rep.'s statement or verify the existence of info that shows that link?" I had him grilling at this point! lol. I was again asked where I was calling from, "Oregon, The beaver state". My grin was as big as the mighty Columbia! He said ther was no official statement at this time and ended the call.
So, lets call some subcommitee members and see if they agree!!! http://clerk.house.gov/committee/index.html?subcomcode=HAS26
I have contacted the chair Saxton. The aid gave run around and said "He has not made that connection in a statement at this point". Also Rep. Kline in Minnesota " has not made that claim". I called the NC dem. McIntyre and told his aide to nail him on this! If anyone has a rep. (r) on this subcommittee please call and ask them if they agree and question them in regards to the so-called intelligence is something they have access to as Hayes claims. ask If they agree with his statements and to "show me the money!". Let's not let these liars get away with this!!!
