This is my first diary but this story deserves a round. Over the past four years I have been shocked by the complacency with which the general public seemingly accepts these "official stories". I am referring to Kevin Cullen's article in the Boston Globe today entitled Bombing Suspects' identities shock Leeds.
The intersting twist is the explanation given at the end of the articles as to why multiple id's were found on some of the alleged perpetrators:
"Surrounded by reporters yesterday, Shehzad Tanweer's uncle, Bashir Ahmed, had the look of a defeated man. He said the family would probably have to sell their businesses and move.
Police are still trying to figure out why some of the bombers appeared to be carrying pieces of identification not just of themselves but of at least some of their three accomplices. But in Beeston, some think they know why.
''They wanted to be known, man," said Shabaz. ''And we'll always know their names, won't we? For all the wrong reasons."
The timing of the bombing and the quick identity of the four bodies of the alleged "suicide bombers" while the majority of the victims overall are yet to be identified is so tansparent as a set up.
The sickest thing to me is that this story suggests that all muslims, regardless of how they may appear from the outside are deserving of suspicion. Young or old, friendly or cautious, they are the enemy.
This "official story" is sure to lead to increased tension and persecutuin of muslims throughout the western world.
Do you ever wonder why there is such a silence among the muslim communities regarding these allegations? They're all living in fear! Why was there no outrage from the Black community in this country when black lynchings were a way of life in the post-reconstruction South? So many young black men were routinely rounded up and lynched for crimes ranging from speaking to white women, to not moving out of a white man's way fast enough.
Sure, there are a lot of angry muslims in the world today and rightly so. Anger, however does not make one a terrorist. Suicide is unthinkable in Islam. The early martyrs in Islam did not go out to seek their death willfully but died at the hands of traitors, or in battle against armed and aggressive enemies. Martyrs do not attack innocent people. Martyrs do not destroy indiscriminately.
I am not discounting that there are so called muslims who do support suicide bombings as righteous jihad, but the mainstream muslims would find this to be abhorrant.
While on the subject of Jihad, it is not one of the pillars of Islam. The pillars of Islam are as follow:
Namaz, or daily Prayer
Pilgrimage to the Qaba
Zakat, or giving alms and charity.
Fasting during Ramazan.
When Jihad is referred to in the Quran or the hadiths, it usually refers to a struggle against falsehood within one self.
What's my point?
The root of fear is ignorance. Before buying into this "holy jihad" or "righteous crusade" baloney, one should learn from a knowledgeable, reverent and practicing source the truth about Islam. There are mosques, Khaneghas and other places of islamic learning throught the world. Learn about the religious tolerance inherant in Islamic teaching. Learn about the respect for life, for nature, and for all of God's creation.
If enough folks stop buying the baloney the butchers will have to close their doors.
