Okay, here's an oddity. It's no big deal, but I'd hate for folks to miss it because non-NYC residents may not take note.
CNN reports:
A former supermarket was being demolished today in NYC.
For some reason, the whole building collapsed at once, leaving five passers-by, including an infant, hurt from falling debris.
The construction workers were all safe and accounted for.
For a time, according to local news television coverage, the subways in that area were closed because of the collapse.
Who owns the building?
The Carlyle Group.
Papa Bush and Pals.
They bought it from Gristedes in April.
