Hey Y'all:
I just stumbled across a blog entry on another board and was astounded but not surprised by the content:

Wes would be a great President.
But he's really really smart. And really, really smart people tend not to get elected President, because, although they win in areas with high education levels, or with people with high education levels, the teeming masses of humanity see them as snobby elitist assholes, and elect the dumb guy (ie, the Republican) because they relate to them more, or they feel he has a better personality, or some crap like that. I even spoke with some Democrats who said they weren't supporting Wes Clark because they felt he was an elitist, and they didn't trust the fact that he went to West Point. It sucks, but it is true.
Can this be right? Is it impossible to get anyone elected in this country who is smart?
Is Wesley Clark too smart to be president?
