Hey guys,
I don't know if anyone has been following Al Gore's cable-internet venture online, but they have a really amazing bit of "breaking" first-hand journalism from the Gaza strip up right now by one of their freelancers, Adrian Baschuk. This is the link.
I realise this isn't everyone's cup of tea. And I also realize Current blew when it started up two weeks ago. But a lot of the stuff up in the Current studio is really quite unusual (try
this. Or
this. Or
this for instance.) Plus, their online facility itself is really nice. I spent about an hour looking at all the clips a couple of nights ago.
IMO, it's worth checking out. Especially the new Gaza video. The feedback on the site is good. The people running the web operation are really responsive. But the community is pretty small. And I hate to see this and other pieces going so totally under the radar.
