Hello fellow New Yorkers:
How's it going? In my last diary, we took a vote and barring any tampering by Manhattan residents, it looks like we voted to meet this Wednesday, the 24th at:
KGB Bar
85 East 4th Street
212-505-3360
Meeting time: 7:00 (I think it opens right around then so don't come too early.)
The one tricky thing about KGB is that it's not on the street level. You enter through some, I believe, glass doors, and it's up the stairs and to the right.
It's a very neat place, one that will at least have you thinking about drinking straight vodka shots and arguing loudly late into the night.
A couple of people mentioned that they weren't into the idea of meeting at a bar and I apologize for that. I know a lot of folks have bravely fought off devil alcohol and other drugs and as such don't feel comfortable at bars so next time I promise I will dig up a place that isn't so alcohol-centric.
p.s. If you're going to be late and want my cell phone to see if the partay is still hopping, email me and I'll send it to you.
Thanks all, btw, for all your bris advice. Thanks to you, I decided I would attend, but I am going to head out before the circumcision is performed. That's what I think for now--all is subject to change on a dime!
So how about we discuss Hillary tonight. She's not exactly Miss Popular on this site, and I'm very curious about what New Yorkers think about her. Do you like her as a senator? Would you like to see her run for president?
Personally, I am fairly happy with her as a senator. I was very disappointed that she voted for Condoleeza Rice's (who seems to have about as much clout internationally as the first lady) approval, but I got over it. As I stated in a diary I did on controversial DKos opinions the other night, I'd like to see her become president.
I like her. I think she's super smart. She's a liberal at heart and I love that we'd get Bill back in the White House (Did any of you see the New York magazine cover story on him? It was pretty well done.)
So what do YOU think? (I did not include any, "I like her so-so options." You're New Yorkers, no wishy-washy opinions allowed!!)
And are ya coming on Wednesday? Huh-huh?? How 'bout you Armando? You in the Big Apple these days?
