I am a father of four. My wife is an unpaid volunteer at a center for women and children where she runs a school. I have recently started shopping at Wal-Mart for my groceries. The reason? I save $25-$30 per week. I am trying to get by on a salary of $30,000 per year, and had been shopping at Publix. I like shopping at Publix because it is a great store that treats its employees fairly and offers benefits. Wal-Mart is a horrible place to shop. It takes forever to check out because they don't have baggers, its crowded, and the employees are nowhere near as helpful as those at Publix. But, with gas prices where they are, I really am not in a position to give up the $25-$30 that I save by shopping at Wal-Mart. Maybe someone will read this and come up with an idea to help.
