A 'Moore-ish'
letter to the president, a curse-laden interview with the mayor of NOLA, threats by the Senator of LA to punch the president, Anderson Cooper interrupting his interviewee to talk through bodies being eaten by rats. Most people I know have cried through this tragedy, and tried to find the pragmatic way to fix it, eg, Red Cross, volunteering.
But why aren't more people pissed? Democrats are being quoted as saying 'it's not the time for politics', when BushRoveFoxBrownChertoffCo obviously think it is (and have been thinking so since it started). Why have these individuals not been fired? The same reason Rove hasn't been?
If we don't hear more non-blog outrage around what's happening in NOLA and the South, not only has America failed us, but the 'opposition' party has failed us, too, for not speaking out. Hopefully our representation all enjoyed their Labor Day barbecues.
