Sorry, this is going to probably be a bit of a short entry for me. Normally, I don't bother with diary entries about minutia, but Nancy Pelosi just absolutely laid out a CNN commentator (Myra something-or-other) after the commentator's incredibly aggressive, adversarial line of questioning and b.s. rationalizations for why others are really to blame for New Orleans.
Nancy broke through one of the juvenile, lengthy bits with "Myra...Myra....Myra, if you are going to offer the White House position, you ought to get on their payroll" (or words very close to that), which brought an immediate "I'm not offering the White House position by any means." Well, Myra, of COURSE you are offering the White House position. Who do you think put it in your empty little head that really, we shouldn't engage in the blame game, unless we're blaming anyone outside of the administration. Well, I doff my hat to Pelosi. I also noticed that Pelosi made use of the New Testament, and I'm wondering if both these incidents are a demonstration that 1)democrats are going to aggressively take back Christianity from the pathetic asswipes who populate right-wing pseudo-evangelism; and 2)democratic leaders are going to start laying wood into supposedly neutral commentators who run interference for the administration while politely sucking down whatever garbage right-wing pundits feed them.
