All I can is the following quote is flabbergasting. From
yesterday's Times:
Republicans said Karl Rove, the White House deputy chief of staff and Mr. Bush's chief political adviser, was in charge of the reconstruction effort, which reaches across many agencies of government and includes the direct involvement of Alphonso R. Jackson, secretary of housing and urban development.
Does anyone know what this means? In all seriousness, is the reporter simply referring to the political drive for the reconstruction effort, or the actual reconstruction effort?
If the latter, I'd like to be the first to say: "Dear Karl, someone needs to empty out the porta-potty. Thank you."
