We're not going to last as long as the Roman Empire did. I think that our hubris has brought us to our knees. The only strength we have left is our military, which is being destroyed in Iraq.
Last week my DSL went down and I had to call sbc technical support. Guess what? Sbc technical support has been outsourced, I suspect to India. Every time I have called them, I got some man whose accent is so thick that I can hardly understand him. This is not to say that they are not doing a good job, but it is just really hard to understand what they are saying.
