It's a WAR. People die. GET OVER IT.

Thu Jan 20, 2005 at 10:41:01 PM PDT

To those who speak those words--"get over it"--I say this:

Is that what you're going to tell the mothers of our soldiers?

That they should have expected their CHILD to die--and for what? A disaster?

Call me a bleeding heart, why don't you?

Call me a bleeding heart--I am proud to have a concious. I am proud that I have the BALLS to walk up to a woman who lost her child to your president's war and tell her, "I am sorry--I wish this never happened."

And if you call me a bleeding heart for that, then it is you, not I, the "bleeding heart liberal," who hates this country. If you cannot respect the pain that is a consequence of war, from Baghdad to Topeka, then you do not love this country. If you cannot stand up for what is right--and it is not waging an ungodly, un-Christian war on the basis of whim--then you do not love this country. And as I love this country, so I am proud to call myself a "bleeding heart liberal."

War IS terror. You cannot fight terror by waging a vengeful war. No God of Christ would ever vindicate such a cause.

Never should war be waged on a whim, or a feeling, or because we "thought" something was a threat. Are you willing to die in Iraq? Would you sacrifice YOUR CHILD for the war in Iraq?

Take Bush's legacy of two wars in which thousands of Americans and Muslims have died, take his legacy of skyrocketing abortions, take his legacy of failed health care--take his LEGACY OF DEATH and get OUT of MY country!

(I'm done venting)
