GOP Senator Norm Coleman insists that we wait for the complete investigation that will undoubtedly exonerate Rove, and that Democrats should spend more time getting legislation passed and less time engaging in partisan attacks.
I seem to recall that this very senator was less patient with the investigative process when he was calling for Kofi Annan's resignation in December. No, that situation called for maximal grandstanding -- not restraint, the presumption of innocence or the demands of more pressing legislation.
What breathtaking hypocrisy. Coleman's loyalty to Rove and the administration obviously outweighs his loyalty to principle. Why is anyone taking the GOP seriously these days?
