I can't believe I'm the first to diary this, and if I'm not, let me know and I'll delete, but, well,
just read this.
To help promote his "year of reform" ballot initiatives, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has turned to one of the best known political reformers on the national stage Arizona Sen. John McCain.
The Republicans will campaign together Monday for the measures Schwarzenegger is promoting on the Nov. 8 ballot, Schwarzenegger campaign spokesman Todd Harris said.
And it goes on, click the link up top for the AP story, and go below the fold for my rather colloquial and abrupt email to McCain.
This morning I sent off a quick note, to be followed by a phone call Monday, to McCain via
his senate contact page ...
Regarding your campaigning in California -- I would think that you have enough going on in your own state.
How can you be a "reform" guy and support our governor at the same time? These things are mutually exclusive.
We might have take some interest in your appearances here in California in the past, but after watching you whore it up real good with Bushie on the 2004 campaign trail, we now realize that you will do just about anything for the Party, even throw your own convictions in the trash.
Hell, George Bush completely screwed your 2000 campaign in South Carolina, lied about your family and made you look like a fool and you still got on stage in 2004 and hugged the man. HUGGED him.
We don't have any respect for you here in California. Don't come here.
On second thought, let him come. It'll be precious.
