It wasn't like it was hard to see this coming: This
Salon Article chronicled 34 scandals that were brewing in plain sight before the election. Add in huge strategic goofs like
Al Qaqaa, the cynical electioneering of the
Swift Boat Vets and George Bush's
obvious incompetence and you have a pretty clear case that voting for these guys would be a mistake.
Now with Katrina having blown away the myth of our security, and Harriet Miers having blown away (for many) the cherished myth of a Bush Administration push for theocracy, it seems that many with closed ears may now be ready to listen.
So let's declare Nov 2nd National "We Told You So Day" and dig up all of our old posts that predicted the mess we know find ourselves in. Hell, let's make it a blogosphere wide phenomenon--pass the word around!
And, coming hard on the heels of the soon-to-be-released Plame indictments, it will a very timely discussion.
Not because I think this will change anything, but dammit, because it will feel so good!
