There are special elections in both Ohio and Colorado next month that could dramatically weaken the GOP stranglehold on two purple states. This is a modified post from SoapBlox Colorado dealing with push-polling by Grover Norquist currently going on in both states funded by Grover, as he and his minions try to keep their strangle hold on the American electorate
As Blue the Wild Dog originally blogged, there's been some push polling going on in Colorado around the upcoming special election in Colorado this Nov. 1.
Sources have confirmed that these push polls are being paid for (at least in part) by the Grover Norquist related "issues" group Americans for Tax Reform

Calls have been coming in from the number (571) 522-1180. Which, if you do a public

Now we learn from an ambitious blogger named A Curious Stranger @ Colorado Luis' that this "CcaBiz" could in fact be ccAdvertising
ccAdverstings's about section claims:
ccAdvertising is fundamentally a survey and database company, which utilizes a patented (patents pending) Interactive Voice Response - Speech Recognition (IVRSR) medium it created called, ccAdvertising.
If you look at ccAdvertising's Press Release Page, you can download a word doc called Election Research 18-Targetd State Survey Bush Versus Kerry - Oct 25, 2004 Compared To Election Day Results which claims:
On October 25, 2004, Election Research completed the "sixteenth and final survey" in a series of surveys conducted as part of an Election 2004 program. During a 24-hour period from October 24, 2004 through October 25, 2004, Election Research surveyed 249,970-homes in the 18-states targeted by both the George W. Bush and John F. Kerry 2004 Presidential campaigns. This universe translated into 13,887-homes per state.
That's a lot of push-polls. Perhaps we need to learn more about exactly what this ccAdvertising company is.
People are definitely getting these calls--lots of people. Not only have the majority of commenters on SoapBlox Colorado received the call, random folks have been searching the Internet to learn more about this mysterious number "(571) 522-1180" that appears on their Caller Id.
Search engines take a couple days to update their indexes, but now both Google and Yahoo have searches for "(571) 522-1180" pointing to SoapBlox Colorado as their first result. Before two days ago nothing came up, but now when folks search for the number, they're getting answers.
Google and Yahoo's updated indexes has significantly increased the number of hits SoapBlox Colorado has been getting from searches for this number and/or the number of searches for this number have been increasing.
At first, the searchers were all from Colorado, but late this evening we got 4 different Google and/or Yahoo searches for this number from Ohio.
Ohio is also having a special election this November to radically change the political outlook of the state--something that would seriously hurt the Norquist connected elements that function in my home state. Safe to say Grover is against the reforms in Ohio, and Grover is against the reforms in Colorado.
And Grover seems to be constantly using a group called ccAdvertsing to do it, and he's doing in it multiple states.
His anti-government, small groups of rich donors are trying to slime their way in the bowels and shadows of the darkest political tactics. I report this all to increase awareness, and shine glorious, disinfecting light on the deplorable, despicable, and possibly illegal tactics these anti-government zealots use.
So if you receive a call from this number "(571) 522-1180" report it here. Report it there. Blog about it everywhere. Spread the word. Are there other states where this number is suddenly showing up?
