although i don't have a shred of evidence to prove my theory, in the absence (at least i haven't
seen any) of any resonable alternative:
maybe it was someone at the NYTimes.
who else besides libby and miller and their lawyers would be in a position to know about the june conversations? and as so many bloggers have pointed out the "judy miller having a sudden, uncharacteristic moment of forthrightness and honesty and turning over her notes without any solicitation from fitzgerald" theory is just stoopid!
(more on the flip)
and if someone in the Times newsroom patriotically violated a directive from above (sulzberger/keller) to remain silent and cover up the paper's complicity in not only outing valerie plame but also in their bogus, cronyistic (there's that word again!) "reporting" of WMD and Iraq leading up to the war, then this would fit in with the eerie/creepy lockdown of all (even the editorial page's!!) further comment by the times' staff.
