I'm doing some research on wealth, and I've discovered some interesting statistics.
According to a recent survey by TNS Financial Services there are now 8.9 million millionaire households in the United States, an increase of 8% over 2004.
A millionaire household is one that has a net worth of more than US$1million excluding the primary residence.
Now, the number of households in the United States is estimated to be
112 million
Simple maths shows 8% of American Households have a net worth of more than a million dollars (excluding primary residence). In other words, a little under one in 12 households are millionaires.
Networking experts say that each person knows at least 250 people. With the average household holding 2.6 people, that means you likely know people from at least 100 households and 20 or so of those people are millionaires.
Are you one of them?
