Let's get the press corps to push Bush for a promise: No Presidential Pardon for Rove, Scooter, or anyone else guilty (or even facing trial) for criminal activity in his cabinet.
You'll recall that his father pardoned the Iran-Contra criminals before he left office.

'Mr. Walsh bitterly condemned the President's action, charging that "the Iran-contra cover-up, which has continued for more than six years, has now been completed."'
This is all in keeping with Bush Jr. We need to make him promise NOW not to cover up his administration's crimes.
Although it is uncommon to pardon the unconvicted, as Bush I did, it had a precedent with Ford's pardon of Nixon.
As Bob Woodward recorded it in SHADOW, p. 14, Ford carried around in his wallet a quote from Burdick v. United States: "The justices found that a pardon 'carries imputation of guilt, acceptance, a confession of it.'"
We don't care about JUST an admission of guilt. We want to finally see some justice!
Can we get reporters to start putting this question to the press secretary?
