It has been more than a year since Hurricane Ivan slammed into Grenada. I was there last week.
They need help. BIG TIME.
The banana trees, knocked down. Ag industry wiped out.
Bananas are being imported to Grenada. Now THAT is bad.
What can YOU do.
Well, winter is coming on. This is a sophisticated audience. Planning a warm vacation? Consider Grenada.
Friendly, dignified people await you, as well as gorgeous beaches and scenery.
And they need help.
I visited the site where Maurice Bishop was executed in 1983, at old Fort George above Georgetown.
Bullet scars on the walls, and grafitti: No pain, no gain, brother.
The brothers in Grenada are in pain. If you are planning a sunny vacation, please consider Grenada. No guilt. Have fun. And help those people recover.
We are all one.
If this seems trivial, I beg to differ. We CAN make a difference.
And sorry for getting carried away. I have just met so many wonderful people in Grenada. But they are in need.
