The new
Washington Post article contains this very intriguing sentence:
Two lawyers involved in the case said that, based on Fitzgerald's questions, the prosecutor has been aware of Libby's June 12 conversation with Cheney since the early days of his investigation.
This answers the question I've seen many times about whether or not Fitz only recently learned about Cheney's role.
This bodes well, it seems to me, in terms of the prospects of holding Cheney accountable... and it
might just mean that he won't be needing extra time after all...!
