I found this story posted on
Sgt. Zachary Scott-Singley's, blog. He recently sites a
Reuters story which shows the fruits of +2,000 dead in Iraq. The Reuters story is from Saturday, so excuse me if the information is deemed "old".
The results are startling and provide instant ammunition for those people who say that the overwhelming majority of Iraqis support the precense of foreign troops.
In brief:
Forty-five percent of Iraqis believe attacks on U.S. and British troops are justified
Less than 1 percent of those polled believed that the forces were responsible for any improvement in security, according to poll figures.
Eighty-two percent of those polled said they were "strongly opposed" to the presence of the troops.
Unfortunately, the details of the polling sample are not given.
