A bit of local news, for those of us who live in the D.C. Metro Area.
I just got off the phone with the clerk's office of the local District Court. The clerk I spoke with told me that their computer network is down, so he couldn't help me with anything, and not only that, but the computer network for the entire Maryland Government is down.
Furthermore, the IT guy at my office called and said he noticed there was something strange going on with our system, and one of my co-workers said her gym's network was acting up. It could all just be coincidence, but I wonder.
If it's not a coincidence, I can think of three possible causes for this sort of thing:
A virus or cybernetic attack.
One of the regional nodes going down, being overloaded, or otherwise cut off.
Those darn solar flares!
Regardless, things will probably be back to normal, soon. Just thought I'd share the news. Carry on.
