Very strong words from
Radio Black Commentary on why Harold Ford, the African American erstwhile rising-star of Memphis, Tennessee, the Democratic keynote speaker at the 2000 convention, and a "eunuch" (BC's word, not mine) of the House, will never get that media outlets support.
IMHO Tennessee's Senate race is so very critical b/c there's a Dem Governor, and Frist who campaigned on term limits and is not running for re-election. Then there's fellow Republican Senator Lamar Alexander who's had a minor bout with independence in his three years in office.
IMHO, Tennessee could revert to blue.
More on the flip
Ford's Democratic Opponent is a lesser known State Senator named
Rosalind Kurita who's got a background in nursing and IMHO would be worth a looksee. As her district includes the largest active duty military base in Tenn. and she's won re-election there, I think her military/national security credentials are probably acceptable.
Lastly, Ford's name is seriously tarnished by an uncle who's on trial for state gov't corruption right now.
Anyone want to discuss?
