Santorum, traitor to Intelligent Design

Tue Nov 15, 2005 at 03:53:20 AM PDT

Santorum has now come out against teaching Intelligent Design in the classroom.   I found that out, and the link, http://www.timesonline.com/...    on wonkette.

Man of principle, eh?  Amazing how a changing political environment can clear your head.

You can play around with that sort of ID, but if you betray the Flying Spaghetti Monster you will get strangled by a noodly appendage so quick you won't know what hit you.

  •  Santorum's big problem now (none / 1)

isn't that he's abandoning the whackos (they know he'll come back around after the election) -- the problem is that he appears to be bereft of principles by ditching so conveniently the lunacy that's been his political glue for the past decade..."Um, George...can't make it to your speech, I'll catch it on C-Span" Note to Rick: The "mushy middle" never liked your principles, and they now like you even less for being so "flexible", the secret to success is to pick good core beliefs and uphold them with sound reason and steady action instead of merely blind, deliberate action with justification an afterthought...

  •  What a dork (none / 0)

    he is.

Fine example of the very issue that seemed to bury Kerry.

    Flip.
    Flop.

    this is good too

How can 51% be so easily misled?

  •  He's trying to save his job (none / 0)

He is hoping to get a few non-wingnut voters in his column, that's all.  Good luck with that, though.  Li'l Ricky has done too good a job identifying himself as the ultimate wingnut politician.  That fad is finished, though.  Americans are sick of the Dark Age approach to policy and politics.

Buh bye, Li'l.  You had a nice ride.  It's over.

Has been touched by the electorates noodly appendage...

He isn't an idiot. He wants to win re-election and run for President of the United States.

Conservative Catholic's aren't creationists. Most Conservative Catholic's are well-educated, so they actually believe in science.

It is the evangelicals that are destroying this country, not Conservative Catholics.

Santorum has to pay the piper now though. He joined with the crazy evangelicals to get elected, now he has to distance himself. FAT CHANCE.

I think Casey wins in a landslide next year.
