Will The Hammer become Blunt's anvil?

Wed Nov 16, 2005 at 06:46:44 PM PDT

We all knew if DeLay were to go down he would inevitably take vast swaths of the shady money machine that fules the Republican Noise Machine with him. The flag ship is the K-Street Project, bringing together the criminal energy of DeLay, Grover "Bathtub" Norquist, and Rick "Man-on-dog" Santorum. DeLay and Norquist are already implicated in the Abramoff scandal. Now Delay's successor as House Majority Leader, Roy Blunt, is seemingly getting tangled up in Delay's trial. Per RawStory, prosecutor Ronnie Earle has subpoenaed communications between Delay's and Blunt's PACs. Quote below the flip.
The prosecutor who indicted former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-TX) subpoenaed documents Wednesday that purportedly show communication between DeLay's political action committee and that of Rep. Roy Blunt (R-MO), who took up the reins after DeLay was forced to relinquish his post, RAW STORY has learned.

Earle is also seeking records which allegedly show that DeLay's national PAC gave to the Missouri Republican Party and Blunt's Rely on Your Own Beliefs PAC. Federal Election Commission records show that Blunt's PAC also paid roughly $88,000 in fees since 2003 to a consultant facing indictment in Texas in the same case as DeLay.

The only thing that matters to them is the power they gain, access power, the "business underbelly of the GOP".

DeLay is simply the most slippery bag man in the GOP.

But he built a money machine around him.  State of the art. He honed his skills as a pest control entrepreneur in the dog eat dog business environment/crony capitalism of Texas.
