MSNBC shilling for the GOP POV!

Thu Nov 17, 2005 at 11:13:02 AM PDT

Just saw a segment on MSNBC with a David B Rivkin, an attorney commenting on the Wooward revelations. He contends that this information has" blown a gigantic hole in the Prosecutor's case" Mr. Rivkin was  presented with the lower third ID of "defense attorney". Nowhere was it mentioned his role in politics or a recent WAPO op-ed calling for the end of the Special Prosecutor system. http://www.washingtonpost.com/.... Seems like Mr. Rivkin has an agenda, and his characterizations sound alot like GOP talking points. This is a Trojan Horse hack attack that has been deployed to float conventional wisdom trial balloons.
Now to be fair, the MSNBC anchor did identify Mr. Rivkin as having worked in Bush 41's White House at the end of the interview. We heard nothing about his involvement with conservative Washington think tanks or as an apologist for Gitmo http://transcripts.cnn.com/.... Shame on MSNBC for not having an opposing viewpoint with this overtly partisan shilling being passed off as objective legal opinion. This kinda crap really gets me mad - but make no mistake, these guys will do whatever it takes to stay in power. Here's a link from another post by dweb8231 http://www.dailykos.com/....
Let's make some noise! When MSM is spoonfed lies, America is being spoonfed lies! Enough is enough!

All that matters is Fitz and the GJ.

A foolish consistency (staying the course in Iraq) is the hobgoblin of George W. Bush.

MSNBC is 23/7 shilling for Republicans, with the sole honorable exception of Olbermann.  They're almost worse than Fox.

Last night KO had as one of his commentators a former deputy of Ken Starr's.  The Republican voice behaved himself, however, and gave a pretty straight legal analysis with only a few punches pulled for Libby's side.  I think he knew KO wouldn't let him get away with the talking points game, and wouldn't invite him back if he tried it.

  •  It's almost as if Woodward and the corporate media (none / 0)

are conspiring to bail out this administration.
    •  My take on the whole episode (none / 0)

is that Woodward is knowingly or unknowingly working for the conspirators.

He had no notes, only his own memory, and the one and only time that he didn't share information with his managing editor was this incident.  Not only that, but he was on Larry King and denied knowing anything about Plame.

      Its definitely a plan.

  •  Rivkin is a moron. Libby is Indicted for Lying (none / 0)

Rivkin is a moron.  Libby is indicted for lying and obstruction of justice and his own notes and testimony already on record proof it.

It would matter name if it was shown Valerie had been lead Las Vegas showgirl in a "I was CIA" agent review.

Part of the beauty and power of indicting Libby for Perjury and Obstruction of Justice is that it has nothing to do with the validity of his underlying criminal behavior.

This when proven can add additionaly charges and years of prison if does not cooperate.  Libby needs new smarter attorneys.  Cause if Rove, Hadley, Cheney, Hannay, Matalin, Hughes, or any of the other Neocon Cabalists flip for the state, it will be too late for Libby to cut a deal and he could end up serving substantial prison time.

Even more than current 3.5 years of his 30 year sentence the current guidelines could give him.

The GOP is just trying to win PR spind to change the subject. They don't really care about Libby.

But this is why we need Congressional Hearings.  Once we get hearing going with Supoena power we are going bury these buzzards and cheeseballs.

Please help me encourage and bring attention to Henry Waxman, Maurice Hinchey, and Charly Rangle for their persistent efforts to get Hearings on  PlameGate and the Intelligence Abuses going in Congress.  So far they are apparently focusing on the Government Reform, Judiciary, Armed Services, and Intelligence Committees.

All we need is just one with supoena power to get all the Fitzgeral Evidence on the record before it get sealed up and lost in some vault somewhere.

The Game is Afoot!  Please help, Thanks.
