Environmental Investigative Reporting

Just discovered a great site with extensive, exhaustively-researched but very punchy, readable, and hard-hitting reporting on environmental corruption:

The Environmental Working Group

They cover the Pombo amendment (which passed! Auugh!), a frightening story of chemical and fast-food corporations allowing known-hazardous chemicals into burger wrappers, water and farm subsidy shenanigans, etc.

Their research looks first-rate. This is the kind of stuff I'd expect a real newspaper to do; alas we don't have any of those in this country, but luckly groups like EWG are on the job.

Highly recommended.

  Gotta love the Teflon story.

  Their body burden site is also amazing.  And it still kills me that Schwarzennegger vetoed a bill to monitor Californians' body burden.
