Please look at the following link from the BBC. It describes the Thatcher Years in government through charts comparing inflation,GDP, housing etc. The most interesting charts compare the rate of Champaigne Imports to GDP. The Champaigne Imports start as a lagging indicator of GDP but in later years mirror almost exactly the rise and fall of GDP.
Does anyone know of similar charting sources for the past US administrations?
