NOLA Photos: '1000% times worse than... on TV'

Tue Nov 22, 2005 at 02:03:35 PM PDT

(The title's quote was taken from out grrl's outstanding diary of 11/16, "Notes from NOLA". I was inspired by blksista's diary from today, 11/22, "The Cajun Republic of Color?". Many good comments on the state of affairs in NOLA are in those diaries there, and therefore, it might be useful to devote commentary here primarily to linked photo contents. Thanks.)

I admit I haven't looked too hard, but at least on Flickr and PBase, I found some photos that show an idea of the devastation Hurricane Katrina created in New Orleans and vicinity.

Feel free to post any links to additional public photos, particularly corresponding "before" shots, in comments below. * Photo links I preface with an asterisk are potentially more interesting.

"millenniumhand" has posted a set here.

Also, "vespa sara" has recently posted photos (though not yet in a set) of NOLA:

(Their pageviews are about to go through the roof!)
