If Kerry is the nominee, I and most every kossack will support him against Bush.
Beyond the substance, style and electability issues that makes any of us reluctant to embrace him, there is to me an especially galling irony to the distaste I have for a Kerry nomination - he doesn't deserve it.
I mean really, he has shown no political courage for the last 3 years, cast many objectionable votes, did not lead the Party anywhere and in fact was playing catchup to where the Dem Party was for the better part of a year.
The guy has done nothing to deserve this nomination and I doubt seriously that he could or would be anything better than a mediocre President at best.
Of course mediocre is better than the worst President in 50 years, which is hat we have now, so it is a no brainer in the GE.
But Kerry is a "hold your nose" vote for a slippery, deceptive, unprincipled and, in my view, uninspiring candidate.
I'm certainly not going to support him for the nomination, when better candidates such as Dean, Edwards and my guy, Clark, are still breathing.
And if he becomes the nominee and wins the Presidency, there will be no rejoicing from me, just a sigh of relief that we dodged the bullet of another 4 years of a disastrous Bush Presidency.
