Folks, MSNBC's website has this as the top story:
Bush says he authorized eavesdropping in U.S. And attached to the story is this Live Poll question:
Was President Bush right to authorize NSA eavesdropping on Americans?
At the moment, there have been exactly 79,199 responses and fully 70% have picked the "No, it's unconstitutional" choice; which does seem pretty impressive to me.
Now, these on-line surveys have no scientific validity and may, in fact, be entirely worthless, but even so, I have to think the Leftie Blogosphere might need to jump on this one.
Like, with both feet.
[Updates on the flip.]
[Update I] It is more than 9 hours and 35,000 responses later. The total number of responses now is 114,356 and 69% have picked the
"No, it's unconstitutional" choice.
[Update II] It is the end of a long day. One that, hopefully, history will record as the 1st day of the beginning of the end for George W. Bush and his criminal administration. The total number of responses now [11:41 PM EST] is 121,944 and 69% selected the "No, it's unconstitutional" choice; with only 26% the "Yes, it was essential for national security" choice. This is, I believe, clearly, an encouraging sign.
