Since this was ignored at the bottom of another long thread I'll recycle it here for comment:
I am in Vermont visiting relatives. This evening I ran into an acquaintance who is a bigwig in the local Democratic party and a huge Dean supporter. He told me that he had spent the entire day pounding the pavement in New Hampshire for Dean.
"New Hampshire doesn't look good for Dean." He moaned. "We're just not getting the same response we were a couple of weeks ago. I don't know what I'll do after Tuesday."
[Of course I was too polite to suggest "make some macaroni and cheese, seal the windows, and turn on the gas." But he probably will anyhow.]
Believe me if a hardcore Deaniac like this guy recognizes that it is over, Dean is toast!
