Production Assistant-DC, Situation Room

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree. One year experience in television news production. Must have prior news/video production experience and a basic knowledge of video editing. Interest and knowledge of Washington, politics, and public affairs is essential.

Associate Producer-DC, Situation Room

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree. One year experience in television or on-line news. Experience in both television news production AND on-line news production a plus. Must have strong interest in and knowledge of on-line resources, news and information sites, politics blogs, and other internet resources. Strong Web research skills essential.

Associate Producer-DC, Situation Room

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree. Three years experience in network television or major-market news production. Familiarity with CNN video databases such as Mediasource very helpful. Graphics production experience including experience with the Viz Pilot graphics device helpful. Non-linear video editing experience also important. Knowledge of and interest in Washington news, and the key players in politics, and public affairs is essential.

Advanced Writer, The Situation Room

Qualifications: College degree and five years full time broadcast news writing or reporting experience. Excellent writing skills-style, language, accuracy, organization, balance; ability to produce quality work quickly; flexibility-ability to adapt during breaking news, ability to adapt to show or anchor style and rewrite when necessary; cooperative, energetic, team-oriented; and leadership ability-active role in show preparation guiding team toward producers vision. Strong knowledge of American politics and key players in Washington essential. Thorough knowledge of INews, CNN style and CNN font-style required.

Think of all the black "X"s that can be inadvertantly superimposed on major newsmaker's faces! Botched graphics! Wacked out bluescreens!
