When is this going to stop?
What can we do make an impact on these cases?
FBI Punishes Whistleblower in Tampa Terror Case
by William F. Jasper
The FBI badly botched a terrorism investigation in Florida and then *falsified documents to cover up the error and retaliated against an FBI whistleblower* who tried to expose the wrongdoing.
Those were the findings of a draft report by the Justice Department's Office of Inspector General (OIG), according to the New York Times, which obtained a copy of the yet-to-be-released report.
Mohammed Atta's alleged involvement in drug smuggling in FL and links to American businessmen involved with these operations may be at the root of why this is being supressed.
One has to wonder about the political ties of some of the individuals being protected by this criminal distortion of the facts within the FBI.
While I do
question that Mohammed Atta was a big fan of a Jewish rap group {see item #50 at the end of the post} there is bound to be some nugget of truth underneath all this skullduggery.
Interesting reading
here , as well. Who knows what to believe anymore?
All this reminds me the case of Sibel Edmonds, where powerful people are being protected by internal actions within government agencies and in judge's chambers to gag and supress the truth. Edmonds information seems to echo in the same way, just in a slightly different pitch.
But it's apparently the same song being played - over and over again.
The whistleblower is Michael German, a 16-year FBI veteran and undercover operative who was pursuing ties between narcotics trafficking in Florida and the financing of terrorist networks. Mr. German sought protection as a whistleblower in September 2002, after his complaints were repeatedly ignored. He left the FBI in 2004, he alleges, because his superiors retaliated against him by excluding him from assignments he normally would have participated in. Among the findings of the OIG was that someone at the FBI had used correction fluid to alter the dates of FBI forms in an apparent effort to cover up violations of federal wiretap law.
Sen. Charles Grassley, (R-Iowa), a critic of the FBI and ardent defender of whistleblowers, said German is "in a long line of FBI whistleblowers who have had their careers derailed because the FBI couldn't tolerate criticism. I look forward to seeing a final report on Mr. German's case, but right now I believe it to be a sad day when someone at the FBI alters records in order to discredit a whistleblower."
Unlike Curt "Reynolds Wrap" Weldon, people such as German, Edmonds, Rowley and others in the REAL intelligence community are getting stomped on and shut up on a regular basis.
We need to make a bit of noise each time this happens, enough so that at least what is left of the uncompromised media give it air play ..
We cannot afford to wait until it "becomes public at some point when it's turned over to the National Archives, but that's 20 or 30 years from now."
This is an old link, but amazing in it's resonance with the botching and coverup of this FBI report - considering I can still pull it up today.
(AP) Three men spewed anti-American sentiments in a bar and talked of impending bloodshed the night before the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, a Daytona Beach strip club manager interviewed by the FBI said Thursday.
