I just received a generic email thanking me for support in defeating "Big Oil's sneaky backdoor..."
I often find myself here in Dailykos playing devils advocate. Criticising diarys that came to a particular conclusion when based on the evidense in the diary, many other conclusions are possible. I'll not be spoon fed.
In keeping with that philosophy. Is pinning the Arctic drilling schemes on big oil fair or just the easiest way to cheerlead us into support. I recall a diary in which it was well illustrated that "Big Oil" did not want to drill in the Arctic because their scouts had determined that there was not enough oil to justify the investment.
Can anyone inform me further on this?
