arté and no sleep

so last night i managed to catch a smallish part of a program on a channel here called Arté.. It concerned the US war in Iraq and as it is Europe based and thusly "free" media...  it was clearly anti-war. While no new revelations concerning the war were given (aside from a few off the cuff remarks from Rumsfeld which irritated "i am trying to work my way around to how i am NOT going to answer that question"  then he gives his best evil villain laugh.... bwaahahahaha),

 the part of the show which made me unable to sleep was about a normal older new yorker being interviewed. Here was an older guy, probably sixties, had been in the service, a new york city policeman.. to use a Bushism.. "a real american hero"(who i can ignore and cut funding for once the photo op is over). The guy had lost his son in 9/11 and in the "march to war" phase of this scam had begun writing to the military asking that a bomb be label "in memory of his son" before it was dropped on the iraqis, thinking of course if the president says they were linked to it, it MUST be true... and thusly it is a sort of retribution...  he in the end receives an email with a photo of just such a labeled bomb and is told it was used...  now they interview the guy later in the program AFTER they show the segment were Bush says "why NOOOOO  we have no proof that Saddam and the Iraqis were involved in 9/11" and he is crushed...  what he thought was a just payback for taking his son, turned out to be a giant stinking pile of bullshit...  and seeing this stinking heap made me start to think and think and think .....

this is where as i couldnt sleep my head started spinning.. and i began to see the whole gannon-guckert-whoever scam in a new light...
as i see it  this was no mistake. They chose him because they knew about his sites, the contact knew him, in whatever context and so knew what sort of person he was. If he ever got well ... uppity and started making demands they could out him and all his web based activities they could keep him quiet.
If the press ever got wise to the scam (thanks to all of you), the fact that there was sex atached to it would make the press quickly turn away from the REAL issue of continual media manipulation and chase the more titilating scandal with the least amount of denial from Scotty M and the white house.

The hard core right wingers would NEVER allow themselves to believe that the white house would have ANYTHING to do with someone like Gann/uckert, preferring to think he fooled them ..
and lastly the right wingers in the media and congress could do their best to effect a dramatic level of indignation that those damned lefties would OUT a poor gay man...  crying "SEE it is THEY that are full of hate and disgust for the gay community...  

OK  maybe i aint saying nothing new.... if so this will disappear quickly enough.. maybe i need the proverbial tin foil helmet here but does it make more sense that these snakes in power let this scam go just because of someones lust...
