Yes, once upon a time, all we could think to do with the water buffalo (aside from degrade it by calling the american bison a buffalo, something it most certainly is not!) was to oppress it. Things did not go well for the Buffalo well into the 20th century. It got removed unceremoniously from the nickel (well, actually, that was a bison too), the city in New York that shares its name gets ignored thanks to the capitol being in Albany and the action being in New York City. But as we saw from the open thread, our president has made great strides in American-Buffalo relations! The summit is successful and we will now bring democracy to the buffalo and spread freedom throughout the globe!
