Senator and former governor FL, governor from 1978-1986, senator from 1986-present, trademark "work days" are when he takes one day to do a job in florida from construction to grocery bagging, records every detail of life in notebooks (over 2,500 now), hardliner on crime, pro death penalty, for means-testing medicare and reducing cost of living increases in social security, former chairman of intelligence comitee, pushed for action against Iraq and Hizbollah after 911, voted against Iraq war resolution "Because I thought it was too limited, too weak and too timid" and because he thought the war would increase terrorism, voting record is about %60 liberal, presidential candidate but dropped out, won't run for reelection to the senate (fun fact: wears only ties with an outline of Florida)
