New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson's political action committee, Moving America Forward, has opened an office in Denver, emphasizing the importance of the Latino vote in this year's election.

The Southwest Voter Registration Education Project, which is not affiliated with Moving America Forward, estimates that Colorado is home to 210,000 eligible Latino residents who are not registered to vote.
Republicans dominate Colorado, with 1.05 million registered party members, as of mid-April. Registered Democrats total 863,963, with 923,532 voters unaffiliated with either party.
Although Moving America Forward doesn't participate in federal elections, the effort could help Colorado Attorney General Ken Salazar's bid to join the U.S. Senate.

Interesting. So if these groups actually really do a good they could even out or reduce the GOP registration lead in Colorado.
Are the Salazar campaigns working with these groups to do that?
