I'm On George Bush's Ipod!

Sun Apr 24, 2005 at 01:38:14 AM PDT

One can't choose one's family, and one can't choose where your music ends up, but this one takes the cake.  The thought of this
fratitudinous errand-boy of the anti-christ pedalling aimlessly, working up a nice cardio rush, and listening to me sing about my friend's dead little boy makes me want to... I dont know, start doing death metal, or something.  Wierdly, I'd dedicated an album about 12 years ago to his father, and some other hackular hegemons (in the hope that they'd all be tortured in hell for all eternity), and had been accused by the Nat Review (I think) of being a KGB dupe.  I never thought I'd miss the days of the whiny fraud George Sr., but his spawn has actually made that a muted reality.

Anyway, thank you all for being here.  I think the work that's being done here is hugely inspiring, and actually gives me a degree of hope that we may finally accomplish something I'd long ago stopped believing was possible: to Create Democracy In America Today!

My hat's off to all of you who participate, and here's to our American Solidarnosc!

I assume it's not that lovely piece that you did with Herb Albert--the one with the boy prostitute. . .

But then again, maybe it is. . .

idea-  dedicate a song to the idiot.

Load it up with subliminal messages ("I am overcome with the urge to take an AKA 47 to work and do a Columbine on all of my associates and then myself" kinds of things)

Let's see what happens when the idiot listens to it over and over.

The chorus goes "Silver or Lead, Silver or Lead, Take the money or youre dead! Kinky pictures in your bed! She was twelve and now she's dead. At least that's what the fixer said."

What does "fratitudinous" mean? A made up word for someone who was in a fraternity? I'm guessing.

Song's called "Why".  I'm not sure if it's downloadable. The record is called "Here Comes The New Folk Underground"

"Welcome to the Boomtown" is one of my old favourites.

It's nice to see you posting here, David.

  •  Fratitudinous (none / 0)

Yes, fratitudinous is a made up word.  A frat boy's platitudes. As opposed to, say, beatitudinous, which I think has something to do with Alan Ginsburg.  Or is it Ringo Starr?  And thanks to all for a nice welcome.  I've been lurking for quite some time now, without much really to say, except GO GET 'EM!!! BTW,  I did a benefit for Dennis Kucinich to help defray election expenses awhile back and he is also a lurker.
