Now that the election is over, it seems that some vital questions are going to forever be unanswered. Our main voice, Sen. Kerry, has vanished into the background and there isn't anyone filling the void. To me, these are things that must be challenged and someone be held accountable (haahahaha, yeah right).
- What about those 300+ tons of explosives that disappeared from Al Qaqaa? The second Osama hit the airwaves, this story was forgotten. To me, this was one of the most enraging events of the whole Iraqi debacle as it shown nothing but contempt for the troops risking their lives and a complete lack of planning for any stage of the war. Bush's incompetence may have armed the enemy and will continue to be used against our troops and innocent civilians. Yet this story seems to have been entirely forgotten. Will our democrats in Congress even try to force an investigation?
- Will we ever know who outed Valerie Plame to the media? Obviously people know but it doesn't seem likely that this felony will ever be prosecuted.
- Abu Graihb. Utterly forgotten about, despite possibly being the nail in the coffin for any chance of somehow "winning" in Iraq.
- Ahmed Chalabi's leaking of sensitive info to Iran. Why has this just been ignored?
There's of course more questions, but it seems it's going to take some effort to keep the eye on the ball. We need the Democrats in Congress to pretend to be the opposition to at least attempt justice.
