Wal-Mart: A request

Want to help me convince others to not shop at Wal Mart?  If so, all I ask for is a few moments of your time to give me some ideas and resources.

For the communications class I am taking over the summer I have to prepare a persuasive speech related to a business issue.  I was having trouble coming up with an idea when I thought WAL-MART!  If I am going to spend my time persuading people, I want it to be about something important.  And I know there are many reasons I can give people to stay away from Wal Mart.

What I am asking for here are ideas and sources.  I have some ideas in mind but I would be grateful for any input you could give me.  Also, I need good sources (no web pages except from reputable organizations).  Again, I greatly appreciate any help you can give me.

  ...The book "Nickeled and Dimed".  The author who is a PHD actually went to work for Walmart for about a month to see what is was like so it is a first hand account.  

  As for websites I don't know what you consider "reputable or not" but http://www.purpleocean.org has info on Walmart which is backed by research.

  I like to stress the following little comparison:
  

  • Henry Ford paid his employees enough so that they could all buy one of his cars.
    
  • Walmart pays their employees so little that they can't afford to shop anywhere but Walmart.
