Wonkette pass on a story about Rove handing a reporter a Tylenol PM...'sleepy' isn't the subtext folks.

  Extra-Strength Tylenol that was poisoned?

  It's weird to think that 25 years ago, there was no such thing as safety seals or tamper-resistant packaging.  Now when you open a bottle of pills, or a jar of applesauce for that matter, you have to get through three layers of security.  Interesting how society changes.

    ES capsules were pretty good sized, had to be to hold 500 mg of acetaminophen each.

    I'm not sure it really matters whether ES or PM was handed out by Rove.  His intentions were obviously not honorable.  Would you want anyone you knew to accept a capsule from him...if they were a reporter pressing this story?

•  The subtext is clear enough to me...

  ...even without the circa-1982 cyanide connection (good cross-ref, BTW). To me, he's saying, "Go back to sleep. You seem to need it and we liked you better that way." It's a subtle shift from Wonkette's gasping, but more insidious than a simple sight gag.

  is the scent of cyanide lacing the capsule.

  The chills can get a little worse when you realize the close relationship of this administration to the big pharma companies and their agenda.

  You may joke about Viagra but there are times when it works other than as intended due to a temporary misunderstanding.  It's not target specific in it's effect.  Based on experiences relayed during my medical training, Viagra taken prior to an extended period in a hot-tub can cause swelling in every tissue where the arteries can expand...and hot-tub heat + Viagra makes them all expand -- fully.  This doesn't necessarily benefit a certain intended target but it creates a problem that's hard on everything else, so to speak.  

  However, the majority of men experiencing this painful adverse reaction refuse to go to the ER out of utter embarrassment.  Even doctors won't go.  It's not fatal just extremely uncomfortable, and most figure out what happened.

  Please don't try to replicate this problem at home.
