Lance Armstrong is a Democrat!

It's been mentioned recently that Lance Armstrong had expressed an interest in running for governor of Texas. There was some question as to whether he was left-wing or right-wing, although I believe it was put forward that his girlfriend, Sheryl Crow, is very left-wing.

Turns out he could be the perfect candidate. Today on OLN it turns out he's a Democrat! "Left of center, against the war in Iraq, and pro-choice" were the notable comments.

  I just hope he really is as clean as he says he is.  Rumors will always swirl.  I sure do want to believe him.  He does train harder than anyone, and I also believe he just has that special physique that allows him to do more than the other guys at high altitude.  I knew someone like that once who could do high altitude marathons hardly breaking a sweat - his body was just different.

    is actually because he lost all his muscle mass during the cancer. Everything new is well trained, so he's got a higher percentage of the muscles he needs than anyone else.

    And considering he almost singlehandedly funds the anti-doping groups, I doubt he drugs. :)

  Yeah, I think she was part of America Coming Together's "Tour of Change" or whatever it was called. So definitely left of center. Great to hear about Lance! I knew he was anti Iraq war from the UK Times online, probably the article you mentioned, but still wasnt sure if he was a Dem, or what.

  I sort of doubt he'll actually run, but this is great politics; get his name out there as a credit to the Democratic party. Who doesn't like Lance Armstrong? He's America's most visible international athlete.

  Texas loves people involved in athletics. Look at it's ex-governonr, our current president.

  But the real place for a man involved in athletics is perched in front of his TV set with enough beer within reach.

  Armstrong isn't like that, at all. And, what's worse, he rides in something called "tour de France." That might have something to do with the country, France, which chickened out of the war against Iraq with the phony excuse that they didn't believe the clear evidence of the WMD.
