KY Republican Gov Invokes the Fifth Amendment

Governor Fletcher (R-Scumbag) has invoked his fifth amendment rights before the grand jury. I know you're all very shocked.

A sitting Kentucky governor has refused to answer questions from a grand jury that called him to testify. That's what Ernie Fletcher did Tuesday in Frankfort.

...Governor Fletcher walked up the wet steps of the Franklin County courthouse with his wife Glenna. He was headed to the grand jury room. He kissed his wife before going into the secret proceedings, sitting in the witness chair and refusing to testify.

Fletcher invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination, though he insists he's never willfully committed any violations of state merit laws.

•  How can he refuse to incriminate himself

  if, as he says, he hasn't broken the law?
