First blog, Minnesota Senate race.

Thu Sep 01, 2005 at 02:10:10 PM PDT

Well today the folks at www.minnesotademocratsexposed.com once again stated that Patty Wetterling (D) will be exiting the senate race to run for the house in MN-06.
This is said to be happening because of the strength of Amy Klobachar.

A lot of people consider these rumors to be trying to down play Patty. Patty "along with Amy, Ford Bell, and Kelly Doran" are all strong candidates, any of them will mop the floor with Mark Kennedy in the senate race.

I think the republicans are fearful of Patty the most and are already attacking her with these false hoods. Kind of like how they are pooping there pants about a Clinton run in 2008, I mean they been working on her for 5 years already. Patty's son Jacob was kidnapped about 15 years ago, and is a crime prevention activast. A lot of people know her as Minnesota's Mom, and one of the most trust worthy people in the state.

In this blog I will be focusing on the 2006 House and Senate races in Minnesota, but might offer some input on other issues. If you want to learn more about all 4 of the Democratic candidates you can check out there websites, but I think www.insideminnesotapolitics.com would be better. They offer a podcast of interviews. Looking forward to the debates!

Anyway, let me know what you think. Be kind, I am new! Demrock6-

  •  Why doesn't Klubacher exit... (none / 0)

the Senate race for a house run since Wetterling is by far the best Senate candidate. I think Kennedy can beat Klubacher, but not Wetterling.

    •  I am with you... (none / 0)

I like Amy in all, but she just doen't seem to bring anything fresh to the table. Ford Bell is my guy, but I might change my mind next week.

  •  Doh (none / 0)

I already noticed I messed up! The correct spelling of Amy's last name is Klobuchar.

  •  Who is behind it? (none / 0)

Is Klobuchar spreading the rumor that Wetterling is getting out?  Or is it Republicans?  I know her supporters keep putting out stuff about how she has a huge lead.

If Klobuchar is the nominee, she will lose to Kennedy.  Her support stretches all the way from North Minneapolis to South Minneapolis.

It takes a second to wreck it. It takes time to build.

    •  Probably republicans (none / 0)

It is being spread on a anti-Democrat site. The blogger says "My inside DFL source". He is probably full it it to be honest with you. A straw poll on Inside Minnesota Politics also showed Amy a strong front runner. 66% from former DFL delegates.

I will post more as I find it.

  •  Poll? Are they all for the same office? (none / 0)

    Am I missing something?

I suppose I need to read more carefully, but are ALL hese people running for the selfsame office?

I've heard a few of them. They seem like a strong contingent - how does this relate to the Mortensen post? Is this the same place that he's running for?

Sounds like there's a concentration of very good candidates potentially battling each other.

That could make for a very good discussion, but sounds like an overabundance going for the same piece of pie.

Several of these in office would be good.

    •  I will cover Minnesota House and Senate. (none / 0)

Yes we have 4 strong candidate running to keep Mark Dayton's Senate seat.
