Will Bush win the spin? (with Poll)

Sun Sep 04, 2005 at 05:48:02 AM PDT

The past week I've been moved to tears and anger by many many comments pouring out your fears, anger, and even feelings of hopelessness into diary after diary.

But, we need to do something with those posts.  We need to innundate Sen Reid and Rep Pelosi with those posts.

They aren't going to read all these diaries but you've got them in your comments.  You don't have to rewrite them, unless you want to remove the curse words :-). You can copy and paste them into an email and send them.

We must let our righteous anger wash over them until they feel it in every fiber of their being. Until they can't escape it just as those trapped in their attics can't escape.  We must be their voices.  We can't let their voices be drowned.

Yes I know there will be cynical posts here about it won't make a difference. But that is exactly what BushCo want you to think.

And I'm calling bullshit on that!  They will not control my response. They will not silence me. They will not get away with their spin and manipulation.  Not this time!  Never again!!

We must send our own Tsunami straight to the WH and the halls of Congress.

Let's focus on the Minority leaders so the magnitude of it is undeniable.  And cc your own representatives so they see it too.

  •  If you are feeling disillusioned (none / 0)

Yesterday I was disillusioned and feeling hopeless and powerless.

Today I read this diary, The fate of the Republic rests on Reid's shoulders, and felt inspired by its eloquence.

Take a deep breath.  Rest.  Regain your strength.  And please try.  Do it for the victims of the hurricane.  Many summoned superhuman strength and will to survive.  We must do the same for the survival of our Republic.

  •  The problem with this diary is (none / 0)

You mix the words democrat and leadership together. They too have shown no leadership or even an attempt to push the wingnut leadership to mobilze in NO nad Miss. They have been silent all along. Now you may see them this week with some facetime appearances, but as usual, too little too late.

One just has to look at the idiot in Louisiana, Landraue, how bought into the whole excuse this week, even going with shrub to the levee rebuilding photo op, only to find out later the whole thing was staged. What a boob. She will always bow to these people. ALWAYS. God help the citizens of Louisiana. With reps like this, they will surely suffer. She probably already has a dinner date with shrub to discuss their successful photo op. What a disgrace to the democratic party. And you people wonder why?

    •  And what is our alternative? (none / 0)

Just shrug our shoulders and give up?

I've read many a post using the line from the movie Network, I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore."

Well, only my neighbors will hear me if I fling open my window.

As far as I'm concerend a tsunami of emails and calls to congress is better than flinging open my windows.  And better than a tsunami of diaries.

Yeah, politicians are putting their finger in the wind.  So let them feel what's blowing in.

The phrase that must become our mantra is "Lead, Follow, or Get out of the Way."

Time for leadership "play acting" and other BS is over. Besides, we get enough from the Administration.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way.  I will use it in my subject line in the email I send.
